Expendi
A B2C mobile app that tracks investments and guides users to smart market decisions.
The Investment Problem
Navigating investments is challenging for many, as most people have limited knowledge about the stock market and their own accounts. The vast and complex investment landscape can be overwhelming to manage.
Wireframes
Using medium-fidelity wireframes, a comprehensive style guide, and an informative mood board, I developed high-fidelity wireframes. These high-quality designs provided an accurate representation of the app in its final form. My primary objective was to create a calm and relaxing user experience, acknowledging the stress associated with managing funds in a volatile market. I meticulously selected colors from the style guide and consistently integrated icons across all pages to ensure cohesion and clarity.
Redesigning Expendi
After a thorough period of user testing and interviews, I implemented several enhancements to Expendi, focusing on accessibility and usability. Based on user feedback, I made strategic changes to various pages, including the restructuring of elements for a more intuitive user experience. This involved reducing the size of various buttons to optimize screen real estate and adjusting spacing for better readability and navigation. These modifications were aimed at creating a more user-friendly interface, ensuring that users could manage their investments with ease and confidence.
Prototyping
The final adjustments to Expendi resulted in a highly beneficial outcome, culminating in a smooth and polished prototype. These refinements enhanced the app’s overall functionality and user experience. By incorporating user feedback and addressing key areas of improvement, the final design not only met but exceeded usability standards. The streamlined interface, improved navigation, and optimized accessibility features ensured that users could efficiently manage their investments. The result was a prototype that was not only visually appealing but also highly intuitive and effective in helping users achieve their financial goals.
